“The appreciation is today and for Tusk these are some papers that he has not even read” – said Arkadiusz Mularczyk on wPolsce.pl television, responding to Donald Tusk’s words about the struggle for reparations for Poland.
The Deputy Secretary of State referred to Donald Tusk’s words about himself.
We can see how Tusk, with full knajak language, almost prison jargon, challenges me, pundits and everyone else who promotes this issue of reparations in the world, whether we engage in public education activities. I want to remind you that the papers Tusk spoke of are a three-part report on war losses. It is a certain calculus that describes in detail the magnitude of war losses and makes a certain valuation. We as a Polish state never made this valuation, this valuation is today and for Tusk these are some papers that he did not even familiarize himself with
Mularczyk said.
Tusks like a butler
The PiS politician argued that the leader of the PO behaved like a lackey of Berlin.
We do travel the world, having been to the US Congress, the State Department, the UN in New York, Geneva and many capitals. I think step by step the problem is becoming more and more recognizable, more known in the world, and I think that makes Berlin nervous these days. Berlin uses here, sorry for the language, but it is a lackey to attack and ridicule this topic
– he said.
I am convinced that these actions are ineffective, because the majority of Poles are on our side
– added.
War in Ukraine
Mularczyk also argued that the war beyond our eastern border could help the world understand how Poland suffered during the German and Soviet occupation.
Paradoxically, this situation of the war in Ukraine helps to better understand what happened during the wartime occupation of Poland by Russia and Germany, and in a sense, this situation helps us
he said.
Today people see that war is very real. They see what the deportation of children means, the bombing of villages, they see those graves with victims being exhumed, so it’s close to the people and it’s easier to imagine what happened in Poland
– added.
Deputy Minister Mularczyk also spoke about the importance of the war losses report and the way to obtain reparations.
When we present our report, appraisals, it’s much easier for us to find allies. And so it happens. Of course, this is not a process that is completed in a month or half a year. It is spread over a longer period of time, there are meetings, conversations, trips. This is a process that must continue both in Poland and abroad. (…) I am absolutely convinced that we are on the right track, on the right track, and if we are consistent, it is only a matter of time before the moral and political resistance in Germany is broken, because we are still walking for a major information campaign in Germany itself
– said Arkadiusz Mularczyk.
