“The conditions for starting the negotiation process to reach a just peace are not yet ripe, but we must work hard in this direction,” Meloni said.
He noted that Italy supplied Ukraine with weapons and ammunition so that the war took place as far away from “the rest of Europe” as possible.
Earlier, it was learned that about 20 Ukrainian soldiers were trained at the Italian military base in Sabaudia city of the capital Lazio before SAMP-T anti-aircraft missile systems were sent to Ukraine.
In the publication, it is emphasized that the anti-aircraft missile systems, which the Italian side has committed to jointly supply with France, are planned to be sent to Ukraine before the end of spring. It is planned to transfer Ukrainian soldiers to Sardinia, where they can take a shooting course.
