PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński won a lawsuit against Radosław Sikorski for protection of personal rights, PiS head lawyer Adrian Salus told PAP. It is about a PO politician’s Twitter entry, in which he states that President Lech Kaczyński “contributed significantly to the Smolensk catastrophe”.
Salus reported that the president of PiS has sued Sikorski in a civil suit, citing protection and respect for the memory of the deceased.
The court in Warsaw, in its verdict of 17 March, required MEP Radosław Sikorski to post an apology on his Twitter:
My apologies to Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński for violating his personal rights on Twitter on January 14, 2021, in the form of the cult of the memory of a deceased person, by stating that President Lech Kaczyński contributed significantly to the Smolensk catastrophe. Radoslaw Sikorski.
Sikorski’s entry
It is about the entry of the PO politician from January 2021, in which Sikorski, in the thread about Warsaw’s Lecha Kaczyński Street, wrote:
Lech Kaczyński was a mediocre president and was instrumental in the Smolensk disaster. He already has the Wawel Castle and random construction on Piłsudski Square. Enough of building a cult that has no foundation.
