British authorities banned Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the far-right Hard Deal party in Sweden, from entering the country. He announced his intention to burn the Qur’an in the town of Wakefield, in the north of England. For the Swede, the restraint was said by Tom Tugendhat, Deputy Home Secretary of Great Britain, speaking in the House of Commons (lower house of parliament). TASS.
According to a law enforcement official, Paludan has been added to the watch list. He explained that authorities had decided that his trip to the UK would “not contribute to the public interest”.

“I will come to Wakefield on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the beginning of Ramadan and burn the Holy Quran in a public place” – aforementioned on video recording. The Swede claims the action was aimed at “showing the presence of ‘undemocratic forces’ in the country”.
He also promised to burn the Qur’an in front of the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen.
