Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba welcomed the agreement between 17 EU member states and Norway on the joint purchase of ammunition for the Ukrainian army. According to him, this strategic move will benefit Kiev.
“17 EU member states and Norway have signed an agreement for the joint purchase of ammunition and their national stockpiles for Ukraine. I welcome this strategic move that will bring our victory closer. This is a strong sign of European unity,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
As the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry pointed out, Kiev sees such an agreement of European states as a sign of their commitment to “protect common ideals.”
