Agriculture Minister Henryk Kowalczyk has the support of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the Council of Ministers and the parliamentary base. We see PSL’s motion as part of the upcoming election campaign, not as a constructive discussion, government spokesman Piotr Müller told PAP.
PSL wants Kowalczyk fired
During Saturday’s meeting with the residents of Busko-Zdrój, PSL President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that next week he would file a motion to dismiss Deputy Prime Minister, Agriculture Minister Henryk Kowalczyk. According to him, Minister Kowalczyk “deceived the Polish countryside and led the Polish peasant astray”.
For mistakes, omissions, missed opportunities, for the lack of money from the EU, for letting Ukrainian grain in, for low grain prices, high fertilizer prices. For the liquidation of 120,000 pig farms, for the uncontrolled spread of ASF. This is just a short list of errors, omissions and shortcomings
explained the head of the people.
“Henryk Kowalczyk has the support of the Prime Minister
Government spokesman Piotr Müller referred to the announcement of the farmers’ party.
The Polish government is implementing many programs for additional agricultural support through the grain subsidy system or in the field of pig farming recovery. We are preparing further actions in areas that need support
he stressed.
The Minister of Agriculture, Henryk Kowalczyk, has the support of the Prime Minister, the Council of Ministers and the parliamentary base. We see today’s PSL motion as part of the upcoming election campaign, not a constructive discussion
– assured the government spokesman in an interview with PAP.
