Borys Budka, former head of Platforma Obywatelska, and now a member of parliament of this party, has a habit of using every media appearance not to present the program his party is preparing for the upcoming elections, but to promote the government of attack the United States. Right at all costs.
He is no exception in the PO, it is a signature feature of other party members, offering voters nothing but anti-PiS hysteria. However, Budka has a characteristic of being particularly reckless in these activities.
Recently, in Polsat News at Bogdan Rymanowski, he decided to attack the United Right for attention, deviation from the teachings of Ivan Paul II.
The denial of the teachings of John Paul II today is United Right – xenophobic, closed, attacking minorities. So today’s PiS is the last formation that has the right to refer to the social teaching of the Church or to John Paul II himself
Budka said.
Thus, according to him, the political formation that has vigorously defended John Paul II and his place in Polish society and culture in recent days cannot refer to him. On the other hand, PO, a party that, with its actions over the past decade, both in power and in opposition, has denied almost all the postulates of the Church’s social teaching – maybe?! The same party that refused to defend the Pope of Poland from attacks and lies?!
The political tower of the Budka cards collapsed in front of Polsat viewers after just one question from Romanowski.
And abortion?
The head of the Budka party is a man who once kissed the pope’s hand, and today he is blackmailing his fellow party members to support the legalization of abortion on demand at all costs. The man who used to take pictures in front of the house altar now wants to remove religious education from schools.
With his anti-clerical attack, Donald Tusk resembles the Spanish socialist Zapatero, whose government once perpetrated cultural terror in Spain. It is possible that if Tusk came to power, he would spark the same anti-Catholic revolution.
As one of the analysts recently noted, the PO is becoming a party with a more left-wing electorate than its politicians. This is a result of Tusk’s policy of attracting new voters, which is why he was willing to completely abandon Christianity-inspired political content. It is quite painful to see people like him and Paweł Kowal turn their backs on all the principles they once stood for.
And this is the party that must be faithful to the teachings of John Paul II?
It would be better for Budka and his entourage if they remained silent on this subject.
