Serhiy Kislitsa, Ukraine’s representative to the UN, spoke at the UN Security Council meeting about the proposal of the Ukrainian side to expand the grain agreement to the ports of the Mykolaiv region. It has been reported TASS.

“After the grain agreement expires on March 18, it must be extended for 120 days or an indefinite period as provided by the agreement. Its action should be extended to Ukrainian ports in the Nikolaev region,” he said.

Previously, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, said that the US, European Union and Britain have two months to complete the agreement. retreat the entire chain of operations accompanying, under its own sanctions, the export of food and fertilizers from Russia. He made this statement at the UN Security Council meeting.

The Permanent Representative recalled that on 13 March, the Russian Federation officially notified Turkey and Ukraine that Moscow “does not object to the extension” of the grain agreement after 18 March until 60 days, i.e. 18 May. According to him, “further steps will depend on the progress in solving the problems identified by the Russian Federation”.
