President Sandu says CIS integration does not contribute to Moldova’s development

Moldovan President Maia Sandu also said that the Eurasian vector and the integration within the CIS did not bring proper development to the republic, that only the European route should be adhered to. The head of state said this in a speech in parliament.

“I call on all political forces to support Moldova’s accession to the EU and to do so unconditionally. We have seen all these years that the Eurasian vector, integration into the CIS does not bring the right result and development to the country. The EU is our only way. All other options are lies,” he said.
