President of Turkmenistan People’s Maslahat (People’s Council), former President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) summit held in Ankara, suggested that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Berdimuhamedov pointed out that he has known Erdogan, “an important personality and a worldwide political figure”, for 22 years. According to him, the Turkish leader “works hard to ensure a peaceful life not only for his own people, but for all Muslim peoples.”

“Departing from this, the President of the Republic of Turkey is proposed to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, and we fully support all proposals in this regard. “He is a leader worthy of this international award,” said the former president of Turkmenistan.
