Eric Mese, head of the UN’s special commission investigating human rights abuses in Ukraine, said the commission showed no signs of genocide. It has been reported Reuters.
“We did not see a genocide in Ukraine,” Mese said.
The head of the commission noted that during the investigation, his colleagues found “some aspects that might raise suspicion” in line with the statements regarding the fact of genocide.

The document submitted to the world organization by the Ukrainian authorities raises the question of the legality of special operations of the Russian armed forces and the status of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics in terms of the UN Charter. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Genocide Convention has nothing to do with these issues.
