Stefan Wilmont was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Gdańsk Mayor Paweł Adamowicz. On every anniversary of Adamowicz’s death, the opposition and the media that supported her heated up the story of PiS and TVP’s alleged responsibility for the tragic death of a local government official. Tusk himself argued that “the great state PiS machine was trying to convince people” that Adamowicz was “the incarnation of evil”. Jury panel chairman Aleksandra Kaczmarek directly pointed out that “just as the case at hand was not a political one, neither was the defendant’s motivation. Linking the attack to politics is an over-interpretation that results from public commentary on the case, not the actual beliefs of the accused.”
The opposition accuses PiS
The opposition blames Law and Justice and the public media for the death of Paweł Adamowicz.
Paweł Adamowicz was murdered here in Gdańsk, because for many weeks and months not only anonymous haters somewhere in the network, but the big PiS machine of the state tried every day and week to convince people that Paweł Adamowicz is the incarnation of evil
– argued Donald Tusk on January 13, 2023 – on the fourth anniversary of Adamowicz’s death. At that time, the head of the PO was meeting with young people in the old town hall in Gdańsk.
In turn, the president of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, has already started her matches, taking advantage of Stefan Wilmont’s conviction.
And the contempt and hate factory still works and pisses on those who think differently
Dulkiewicz wrote.

“Linking the attack to politics is an overinterpretation.”
The chairman of the jury panel, Aleksandra Kaczmarek, who justified the verdict against Adamowicz’s murderer, directly pointed out that “the connection between the assassination attempt and politics is being overinterpreted” – which completely overstates the narrative of the opposition, led by Tusk. refutes.
Stefan Wilmont is characterized by tendencies to satisfy needs and resolve emotional conflicts through aggressive and demonstrative behaviors and responses, often against authority or authority. He tends to experience feelings of bitterness and anger against the whole world because of real and imagined mistakes. According to him, the mayor of the city of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, was symbolically responsible for the damage suffered. Therefore, Stefan Wilmont felt the right to take revenge, which was his murder. It should be noted, however, that just as the case at hand was not a political one, neither was the defendant’s motivation. Linking the attack to politics is an over-interpretation resulting from public commentary on the case, not the actual beliefs of the accused
the judge emphasized.
The extremes of his views were independent of specific political circumstances. He was looking for an explanation for his sense of injustice. There is no evidence that the suspect was accompanied by obsessive thoughts about the target of the attack, namely Paweł Adamowicz. Taking the above into account, it should be pointed out that Stefan Wilmont’s behavior clearly deviates from the usual patterns of behavior. Given that any murder is a violation of such a pattern of behavior. There is an element of vengeance here that has no real justification. What makes Stefan Wilmont’s decision to commit the murder particularly reprehensible is the fact that Paweł Adamowicz had nothing to do with the person of the suspect, let alone his previous conviction. (…) He was an arbitrary person, who symbolized in the mind of the defendant the original source of damage perceived by him, namely the justice system in Gdańsk and the Civic Platform. He was also, in the opinion of the defendant, an important person whose murder would be spectacularly loud
– said Judge Aleksandra Kaczmarek.
