Leaders of Serbia and Kosovo to hold talks on normalization of relations in North Macedonia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and unrecognized Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti will meet to continue the dialogue on normalizing relations in North Macedonia. transmits RTK. According to the portal, the talks will be held in Ohrid under the mediation of representatives of the European Union.

“The parties are expected to discuss and sign the implementation of the European plan for the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo. EU Foreign and Neighborhood Policy Officer Josep Borrell will first hold separate meetings with the two leaders.

As stated, a bilateral meeting between Vučić and Kurti is expected with the participation of Borrell within the framework of the negotiations in North Macedonia. At the same time, the EU’s Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak, can take part in the dialogue process.

It was previously reported that Belgrade and Pristina accepted European settlement plan for Kosovo. As noted, the EU has noted weak trust and demands for mutual guarantees between the parties.
