The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposed to Russian President Vladimir Putin to suspend double taxation avoidance agreements with hostile countries. This has been reported Web site Ministry of Finance of Russia.

At the recommendation of the Ministry of Finance, tax treaties with countries that impose unilateral economic restrictions on the Russian Federation should be suspended.

“The unilateral introduction of restrictive measures is a violation of international law. … The action of these agreements is proposed to be suspended until Russia’s violated rights are returned, ”the message states.

Former State Duma accepted two laws, one suspending and the other annulling the agreement with Latvia aimed at avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion.
