This could happen in 4-6 weeks, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said when asked about President Andrzej Duda’s words regarding the transfer of Polish MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine.
MiGs for Ukraine
Poland is ready to hand over its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine as part of an international coalition, President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with CNN International in Abu Dhabi.
The rest of the MiG-29s that we have in Poland and that are now serving in our air force – we are ready to deliver these aircraft and I am sure Ukraine would be ready to use them immediately
said President Duda.
He notes that he believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will want to aim for NATO standards in the future and will use the F-16.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was asked at a press conference when the aircraft could be transferred to Ukraine. The head of the Polish government indicated that this would happen within 4-6 weeks.
