According to the Georgian First Channel, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, said that they do not respect the sovereignty of those who equate the situation of the country’s former president Mikheil Saakashvili with the European perspective of the republic. According to him, such people should not expect respect from the state.

“Saakashvili was protected by his political partners while serving his sentence in Georgia, and even when he was released, he was welcomed and supported by MEPs. “As a result, he entered the country to stage a coup or to pursue some of his goals,” Papuashvili said.

As the Georgian parliament spokesperson pointed out, such support from foreign politicians has inspired Saakashvili and they need to be aware of their responsibilities. He also added that the politician’s release should not be called for and his plans should be encouraged.

Earlier, Garibashvili said that the country’s authorities won’t letSo that the European Parliament can get Saakashvili out of jail.
