China’s Foreign Ministry has given evasive answers to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s plans to hold an online meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. TASS.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said he would answer the question about the planned meeting from “three sides”.

He stressed that the Chinese authorities’ stance on the Ukraine crisis was “always clear” and that Beijing maintains contact with all parties to the conflict. The diplomat also noted that China and the Russian Federation maintain close contacts at all levels, but added that he has nothing to say about the possible meeting between Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“China has always been committed to its foreign policy of maintaining world peace and promoting common development,” he said.
