The Civic Coalition introduced club discipline ahead of the vote on PiS’s proposed resolution on the defense of St. John Paul II. The club’s recommendation was not to take part in this vote, but the resolution was supported by one PO MP – Joanna Fabisiak. The wPolityce.pl portal found out if she is facing disciplinary proceedings for this in the KO.
Member of Parliament Fabisiak recently explained in an interview with the wPolityce.pl portal why the resolution on the defense of St. Jana Pawła II behaved differently from the rest of her parliamentary club.
It was a very difficult decision for me and I thought that each of us, if we were in a certain intimacy with a friend, could support the resolution in defense of his reputation. If it were someone’s mother, and on the one hand there was an assassination attempt, on the other hand a resolution proving her nobility, it would be impossible not to vote
– she told the portal wPolityce.pl Joanna Fabiak.
The PO MP does not want to talk about it anymore and points out that she has already said everything about this subject. When asked if she will be punished for the aforementioned vote, she replies:
I will not punish myself. Call those who can answer you.
No disciplinary action will be taken against Fabisiak
MP Izabela Mrzygłocka, spokesperson for the discipline and ethics of the KO Parliamentary Club, did not answer on Saturday when asked by the wPolityce.pl portal whether disciplinary proceedings will be initiated or already initiated against MP Fabisiak in connection with the above-mentioned mood.
Borys Budka, head of the KO club, behaved differently. When asked if KO has initiated or intends to initiate disciplinary proceedings against MP Fabisiak for supporting the resolution on John Paul II, he answers unequivocally:
No, we’re not going to do that.
So it turns out that MP Joanna Fabisiak will not be punished for breaking club discipline, although that doesn’t mean she won’t face consequences in the party for her vote. “This will be taken into account when drawing up electoral lists” – this is how Borys Budka answered the question of what would happen to MP Joanna Fabisiak after the above-mentioned vote in an interview with the Onet portal.
