Donald Tusk and Civic Platform should not be allowed to include as a program a systematic attack on the church, i.e. on the nation, because this is an attack on the nation. Shame and disgrace, said the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, in Lublin.
An attack on an entire nation
In Saturday’s briefing in front of the building of the Catholic University of Lublin, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science referred to the fact that St. John Paul II, still bishop of Krakow, taught at this university for many years. According to him, both the Catholic University of Lublin and the city of Lublin owe a lot to the Pope.
We are convinced that Saint John Paul II needs no defense; he defends himself – with his teaching, his life, his gigantic contribution to the regaining of freedom by Poles and by Europeans; throwing off the Communist and Soviet yoke from Poland and Central and Eastern Europe
Black noticed.
According to him, it is not just about Saint John Paul II. The head of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage referred to the words of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński: “If they come to destroy the nation, they will start with the church, because the church is the strength of this nation.”
What we saw yesterday during Donald Tusk’s speech is nothing but an attack on the Church, that is, on the nation (…) Donald Tusk yesterday directly attacked the Church in Poland. No hierarchs, because the church is not just hierarchs; not clergy, because the church is not only clergy. He attacked millions of Poles who go to church every day and every week because they are the church. He hit directly against the church and religion
Czarnek said that on Saturday.
Attack on the church with the PO program?
According to him, the opposition has no political program for the Poles.
But this man (Donald Tusk – PAP) and Civic Platform cannot be allowed to include as a program a systematic attack on the church, i.e. on the nation, because this is an attack on the nation. Shame and disgrace
said the minister.
On Friday, during a meeting with the residents of Rokietnica (Wilkopolskie Voivodeship), the head of the PO, Donald Tusk, said, among other things: that there should be no religion in schools. In his opinion, religion in schools became “one of the most effective instruments of secularization of the young generation of Poles”. He estimated that “these are hundreds, thousands of salaries, because it’s not about evangelism.”

Destroying the community
Michał Moskal, the head of the PiS president’s office, who attended Saturday’s briefing in Lublin, pointed out that St. John Paul II shaped generations of young Poles, both as a teacher and as a pope. He referred to his words that a nation is only truly free when it is formed by a community of language, history and culture.
And that is what we have seen in recent days, a gigantic attack that led to the dismantling of this community in its first parts. Something that we see around the world, led by the left – to destroy any community that creates social bonds. A community like the family, like the church, and a community like the nation
Moskal said.
On Monday, TVN24 aired Marcin Gutowski’s report “Franciszkańska 3”, devoted to the question of what Pope John Paul II knew about cases of pedophilia among priests. It describes the cases of three priests: Bolesław Saduś, Eugeniusz Surgent and Józef Loranc, and the reaction of the then metropolitan of Kraków, Cardinal Karol Wojtyla. The report also contained statements by the Dutch journalist Ekke Overbeek, the author of the book “Maxima Culpa. What the Church Is Hiding About John Paul II.
In response to this report, the Sejm on Thursday passed a resolution defending the good name of St. John Paul II, which condemned the “shameful media campaign, based largely on the materials of the PRL’s apparatus of violence, whose aim is to destroy the Great Pope is – St. John Paul II the greatest Pole in history.
