“Krytyka Polityczna” published the results of research by Sławomir Sierakowski and Professor of Sociology Przemysław Sadura from the University of Warsaw into the mobilization potential of individual parties. The report “Voters for one list, leaders against” can create fear in PO and real panic in PSL.
Sławomir Sierakowski has been doing everything he can for years to help PO come to power. Other reports, including the current one, seem to serve this purpose. That doesn’t mean they are unreliable. On the contrary, it is a solid piece of sociological work, but the leader of the “Krytyka Polityczna” milieu almost always misinterprets the results of his research and therefore advises his political favorites badly, with fatal consequences, such as the former head of the SLD Wojciech Olejniczak can testify and continuously since 2015 Civic Platform. It doesn’t matter and he’s being listened to anyway, so PiS should give him a medal.
The report “Voters for one list, leaders against” contains many interesting results, which are undoubtedly shocking to people who are not involved in politics on a daily basis, or as PO activists and many start-ups have indelible problems in recognizing reality. In the following articles we present the individual results of Sierakowski and Sadur’s research and the conclusions that follow. Broadly speaking, the conclusions should be as follows: PiS has no one to lose to, has the best chance of winning, the opposition is completely lost, bereft of identity, so it will desperately struggle to capture a golden calf. PSL does not reach the electoral threshold and has to look for a coalition with PiS. Donald Tusk, PO activists and slavish media feed PO voters with anger, hatred and frustration. However, this is not what you learn from Sierakowski, this is my own interpretation, nevertheless the description of emotions is true.
The shortest and most mysterious chapter of the report – “Polarization of Emotions” – is dedicated to them. Unlike others, it is completely devoid of details, graphs, tables and is so concise that it can be quoted almost in its entirety.
We asked voters of certain parties about their emotions in politics. The percentage of those willing to vote for PiS is higher among those who feel confidence, joy, pride, or hope when thinking about politics. PiS voters are convinced of the generally good direction the country is heading under the rule of Law and Justice, and they want this course to continue.
The authors of the report write about PO voters as follows:
The profile of the citizen coalition voter is also largely determined by emotions in relation to the world of politics. Negative emotions (anger, nervousness, depression and discouragement) predominate here.
And that’s it, that’s all. Why so little, more on that later, but first we will interpret these two features. They completely contradict the stories of PO activists and subservient media. According to them, the PiS voter would be angry, nervous, eternally dissatisfied, therefore demanding, driven by rather base motives, lost in the world, overwhelmed by it, not understanding it. A PiS voter is a man who can’t handle it, but he’s a cunning crook, so he can be bribed.
Meanwhile, it turns out, he feels confidence, joy, pride, hope. Behind this must be an elementary satisfaction with life, a sense of security. The world around him is friendly, and not like the PiS regime – degenerate, dark and hateful as described by the opposition. The PiS voter feels proud because he knows he is part of the success. The report’s authors skipped information in this chapter, but one can guess that PiS voters are simply proud of their home country and perhaps the formation they vote for.
The characteristics of PiS voters presented in the “Polarization of Emotions” chapter also completely contradict how they are described by Sierakowski and Sadura in other parts of the report. In short, they divided those who vote for the members of the PiS clique on the United Right – implicitly those from state-owned companies, villas plus, etc., and the PiS plebs, which they call the cynical electorate. It is these greedy fools who take electoral bribes in the form of 500+, rebates, etc.
An immanent characteristic of the left, and especially caviar, is that it has the worst opinion of people/nations, despises them and believes that they operate on the basis of primitive reflexes that serve to satisfy the most primitive, or rather basic, needs. , like a full bowl. The left itself lacks any sense of dignity, or confuses it with arrogance, thus failing to see its importance. PO experts from televisions and universities with gender departments suggest; you have to promise some Poles, voters, a bigger bowl, more fat for these grits and thanks to that you win the election. Meanwhile only defeats and no prospect of profit
And now a description of the emotions that plague the PO voter: anger, nervousness, dejection and discouragement – those are the words quoted by the authors, but there are certainly many more. You know this picture: Tusk clenched his fists, face contorted, yelling at a rally to his supporters: if I see/hear it, I’ll get furrrrii!!!! Well, their fists are also clenched, their faces contorted and they feel furious. This anger is also caused by a sense of helplessness – so many years of protests, so many declarations that the bloody regime is victorious and PiS is enduring.
Research around the world, but also in Poland, conducted by Michał Bliewicz, shows that the so-called liberals, progressives, people on the left are much more aggressive, hateful, closed to arguments, talking to people with different views than conservatives, people on the right side. Now, in connection with the tragic death of the boy, the horrific campaign against John Paul II, all the more visible are those full of anger, hatred, yellow, distorted features of the more concerned part of the PO voters.
The chapter is very short, because probably only a small portion of the characteristics of PiS and PO voters have been presented to the public. After all, the world must not know that the former feel pride and joy, are full of hope for the better, and plunge the latter into frustration and anger. It’s not good for the press. There is probably a confidential part of the report, perhaps intended only for Donald Tusk. Perhaps the eternal experts are now telling him: Donald, this screaming of rage, threatening everyone with jail, clenching your fist does nothing. It only evokes a feeling of powerlessness. Read what’s in the report about this whole women’s strike, about the angry wombs under the sign of lightning
By the way, an important note: Women’s anger at the extreme tightening of abortion rights did not affect the composition of the PiS electorate. Jarosław Kaczyński’s party has not lost women’s support: almost as many women as men want to vote for it.
So you see, Donald, this shouting and blasphemy in front of churches, the alliance with the vulgar Lempart yelling at… aaaa, drinking… all this like blood in the sand. Perhaps you should show a kind, loving face, not a face twisted with anger.
Too late, and after Donald Tusk introduced the primitive KOD fringe into the political mainstream, it is impossible to stop this wave of bile and rolling foam. It is impossible to exaggerate TVN and Wyborcza overnight, bigotry and hypocrisy have eaten away at their structures. Without love and tolerance for PiS and its constituents, they would lose their right to exist.
In the following discussion of the report, we write why PSL would fall into hysterical panic. Today just a taste: PSL has 2.6 percent, according to research by Sierakowski and Sadura. support. His voters prefer Morawiecki to Kosiniak-Kamysz, Kaczyński to Tusk and Hołownia (the latter they actually hate). In fact, the party’s voters are closer to PiS than to PO and Poland 2050.
