As for the transfer of aircraft from Poland to Ukraine, it will not be a large number, it will certainly not match the number of tanks transferred, the head of the presidential office, Paweł Szrot, said on Thursday. We will certainly do it in a broader, international coalition, he added.
Poland ready to transfer MIG-29 aircraft to Ukraine
In a recent interview with CNN International, President Andrzej Duda indicated that Poland is ready to hand over its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine as part of an international coalition. He added that Ukraine will receive F-16 aircraft in the future.
When asked about this statement in Radio Plus, Szrot said that when it comes to F-16 aircraft, “there is no room for casual statements” and the president said it “with full conviction, with full knowledge.”
As far as I know, the transfer of aircraft from Poland will not involve a large number. It will certainly not be a number that corresponds to the number of (donated) tanks
he noticed.
We will certainly do it in a broader, international coalition, so that Ukraine can really feel this support
– added.
Disability protest? “The president’s wife was never afraid of difficult conversations”
The head of the president’s office was also asked about the ongoing protest of people with disabilities and their carers in the Sejm, and whether the first lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda would attend a meeting with the protesters. On Monday, KO MP Iwona Hartwich announced that a group of adults with disabilities and their carers were resuming their protest in the Sejm, and also presented a civil bill on social pensions. The protesters demand that it be raised to the level of the lowest national salary (currently it is PLN 3,490 gross).
The president’s wife has never been afraid of difficult conversations. I can’t anticipate anything on this. I have not yet heard that this environment has officially addressed the president
Scrap replied. He added that his personal experience was that with “Ms. Hartwich and the community she represents, conversations are very, very difficult.”
Regulations to improve the situation of disabled people – in preparation
He also stressed that the president’s chancery is talking to people with disabilities and their carers and preparing legal arrangements to improve their situation.
Atmosphere and form are also very important here. The assistants of the president and representatives of the disabled and their carers speak the right way (…) those representatives of this environment who wanted to find a way to the presidential palace found it, they were accepted
– he said.
