Poland is ready to hand over its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine as part of an international coalition, President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with CNN International in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. He added that Ukraine will receive F-16 aircraft in the future.
Poland ready to deliver MiGs to Ukraine
The rest of the MiG-29s that we have in Poland and are now serving in our air force – we are ready to deliver these aircraft and I am sure Ukraine would be ready to use them immediately
Duda said.
He notes that he believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will want to aim for NATO standards in the future and will use the F-16.
The training of Ukrainian pilots is therefore important and much needed
added the president. At the same time, referring to his conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, he stressed that the country’s main military need at the moment is long-range artillery.
What is more needed at this point is long-range artillery to push back the enemy and avoid direct clashes. Because the Russians are trying to crush Ukraine, crushing with the weight of their forces, their size and their equipment
Duda said.
The president also ruled that to maintain world peace it is necessary for Russia to fail in Ukraine.
In order to maintain world peace in the countries of Central Europe and other countries exposed to Russian imperialism, and to ensure that all these countries lead peaceful and secure lives, Russia must emerge from this war as a non-winner . He must fail
said the Polish leader.
Who destroyed Nord Stream 2?
Referring to reports that pro-Ukrainian groups were behind the partial destruction of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, Duda said he did not know if it was pro-Ukrainian sabotage, but hoped the investigation in this case would identify the perpetrators. However, he noted that if Nord Stream 2 “ceases to exist”, it will benefit Europe as it will destroy Russia’s attempts to “dominate” and make Western Europe dependent on it.
The European Commission blocks funds from the KPO
When asked about the dispute with the EU over blocked funds for Poland, Duda expressed his belief that the money would go to our country. At the same time, he stated that the blocking of funds is an attempt to overthrow the current authorities in Poland by EU institutions and the “left-liberal camp”.
They believe they can influence the outcome of the elections and thereby violate the principles of democracy
– assessed President Duda.
