Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang said that Chinese officials see the Taiwan issue as a red line, so the United States should not try to interfere in its solution in any way. He made the relevant statement at a press conference of the country’s main negotiating and legislative body during its annual sessions in Beijing this week. TASS.

“The reason we are discussing the Taiwan issue with the American side is because we demand that it not interfere in China’s domestic politics,” the diplomat said.

Qin Gang also said that the Central Government of the People’s Republic of China will continue to support the peaceful reunification of the mainland with Taiwan. He noted that mainland China and its inhabitants are “blood brothers”.

“We will continue to strive for the peaceful reunification of the Motherland, and we will continue to show our best goodwill for this,” he said.
