Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian energy facilities and restore damaged infrastructure by the next heating season. He stated this in his daily video message on his Telegram channel.
“Within six months, our energy engineers, government, security services, and anyone else involved in the fulfillment of related tasks must strengthen the protection of energy facilities and restore destroyed infrastructure,” Zelensky said.
He also noted that work in this direction has begun.
On March 4, the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Galushchenko, said that despite the destruction of the country’s energy facilities, finishes heating season with excess power and sufficient gas and coal reserves.
Ukraine Rejects Former Prime Minister Shmyhal aforementioned on strengthening the protection of energy infrastructure facilities in the country. According to him, in the spring and summer of last year, “appropriate protection projects were developed: from concrete bunkers to a sufficient level underground so that neither drones nor missiles could damage the network of distribution stations.”
