“A man who wants to become the head of state has to deal with difficult situations, and in a difficult situation, the mayor of the city bury his head in the sand, how would he behave if he faced such challenges as Andrzej Duda faces? – said in the program “Woronicza 17” on TVP Info, the adviser to the President of the Republic of Poland, Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz.
In addition to Prof. Zybertowicz, the guests of the program were: PiS MEP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk, Deputy Head of the MRPiT Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska, MP of the Left Prof. Maciej Gdula, Kukiz ’15 MP Jarosław Sachajko and PSL MP Bożena Żelazowska. The main topics of discussion were: the Warsaw garbage scandal, the arrest of Włodzimierz Karpiński and the CJEU ruling in the case of the Polish State Forests.
Warsaw affair
PiS MEP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk stated that there is a high risk that the allegations of corruption against former finance minister Włodzimierz Karpiński turn out to be true. In this regard, he pointed out that something must be going on if the “free courts”, which do not particularly like the opposition, decide to detain them for three months.
There is no doubt that an organized crime group was operating in this area. Fourteen people have been charged. They have been arrested, which means that the allegations are serious, because the arrest requests have been considered by the court, so if there were no specifics, there would probably be no preventive action.
Kuzmiuk said.
The current courts treat the prosecutor’s requests very rigorously, so if in two cases – because we are talking about Mr Baniak and the minister – these requests were granted, it means that the allegations are very serious
– added.
Advisor to President Duda, Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz, stated that while it is not yet possible to make hard charges against Trzaskowski and Karpiński until there is a final court ruling, the mayor of Warsaw is “burying his head in the sand” and not in is able to meet the challenges that await his scrutiny and decisions in this position.
The situation is certainly serious. There are many indications that President Trzaskowski is unable to take co-responsibility for the management of waste issues, but let’s refrain from prematurely identifying someone as a criminal
– noted Prof. Zybertowicz.
In this regard, I would prefer President Trzaskowski to say directly that he would clarify the situation. Especially a man who aspires to the role of head of state has to deal with difficult situations. Unfortunately, the city’s mayor is burying his head in the sand in a difficult situation, so how would he behave if Andrzej Duda faced such challenges? It means the challenge of difficult decisions in the face of the war in Ukraine and rather a hybrid attack from Belarus
he concluded.
Rafał Trzaskowski’s indirect defense was taken up by the politician of the left, Prof. Maciej Gdula. In this regard, he used the opposition’s already well-rehearsed tactics of shifting responsibility to the ruling camp.
Why does Trzaskowski not take a clear position? I think he just has that kind of analysis. Let’s see – there’s a scandal at the National Center for Research and Development, there’s a scandal with fans, and the CBA isn’t asking for an arrest. And here is immediately the scandal in Warsaw – Minister Karpiński is arrested and a scandal is made suggesting that the opposition is more corrupt than the rulers, that their politicians are in prison and the government is not
said Prof. Alpine Violet.
