An unusual situation! Representatives of the Merchant Congregation in Cracow wrote a letter to the chairman of the PO, Donald Tusk, asking him to save him from politicians … of the Platform.
Representatives of your party, both at the district and at the city level, are waging a veritable crusade against people whose actions support the ideas of a liberal economy
– we read in the letter from entrepreneurs.
An act of desperation
Representatives of the Kraków Merchant Congregation emphasize that the letter is “some kind of act of desperately seeking help in the structures and political environment” of the PO.
For several years now, representatives of the PO in Krakow have been outdoing each other almost daily in presenting new ideas for regulations that directly hinder the lives of entrepreneurs
they write.
Examples of such actions are limiting sales and delivery hours, hindering the operation of cafe gardens or introducing “increasingly restrictive” and “internally contradictory” provisions in the landscape decree.
A blow from the PO
Entrepreneurs emphasize that industries that rely on tourists have suffered greatly from the pandemic.
Today, when their representatives try to restore their position through hard work despite the effects of the war, they face successive brutal blows from PO politicians
write the authors of the letter.
Among the platform’s local activists, especially those associated with the district council of Stare Miasto, views dominate that would lead to the bustling center turning into an open-air museum reserved for an ever smaller group of residents
they emphasize.
As the entrepreneurs point out, these actions are “anti-entrepreneur” and “anti-development” for Krakow.
