Thus, Podemos Mutxamel and Esquerra Unida agreed to work on a common list for elections, clarifying the future of the left formations in Mutxamel in light of the next municipal elections. The deal was made because of the common interests of both entities to “integrate the left-wing forces of the municipality into a single bloc, unfortunately Compromís did not want to participate in this merger”.
The electoral coalition is “working on proposals for improvement to transform the municipality into the effective management of its public resources. Right wing governments in our town that are causing trouble in these three legislatures in Mutxamel. Mutxamel’s needs were not met and instead the money was kept in the bank, the neighbors suffered from precarious services, lack of care; infrastructures; lighting; abandonment of urbanization, among others. The aim of this merger is to manage the municipality to make Mutxamel a more equitable and socially cohesive municipality so that all people living here have a place to live with quality public services, more shops and more. Green areas and areas, expansion of sports and cultural areas, better public transport, in short, a city to live in,” he said.
This union of parties will be headed by Borja Iborra, current Podemos councilor and spokesperson, who has a law degree. The list will be rounded off by Inma Mora, ADE graduate, spokesperson for Podemos’ local group and Podem’s regional secretary for Local Policy; and third, Jesús García, EU coordinator (graduate in philology) in Mutxamel. Both formations said that “administrative experience and political will are the key words of this coalition, which aims to excite voters who do not understand the fragmentation of the left.”
