It was stated that the incident occurred on a highway near the village of Azzun, 10 km east of the Palestinian city of Qalkylya. There, an unidentified group threw fireworks at passing Israeli cars along the road.
According to the Israeli army, the army arrived at the scene and began searching for the suspects. Then several people threw Molotov cocktails at the soldiers. In response, the army opened fire with real ammunition. They are aware of reports that say some suspects were injured, as stated in the Israel Defense Forces press service. It was clarified that there was no information from the Israeli army about the victims – the damage was done only to a military vehicle that was at the scene.
