At the end of January, the District Court in Warsaw received a request for registration of a new grouping, which was created after the merger of the agreement and AgroUnia. The procedure has not yet been completed. The party of Magdalena Sroka and Michał Kołodziejczak will be called “Poland Social Movement of the 21st Century”.
The new name of the party Sroka and Kołodziejczak
After the Alliance and AgroUnia entered into an alliance, the name of the new grouping was a secret to be revealed at a congress scheduled for the spring. However, the information was obtained by the gazeta.pl website. The findings show that at the end of January an application for registration of the group “Social Movement” was submitted to the court in Warsaw – only Michał Kołodziejczak signed the document, but Sroka and AgroUnia claim that the lack of the signature of the head of the agreement proves nothing, and everything was settled.
As AgroUnia’s spokesperson noted, the name of the party “Ruch Społeczny” is expanded to “Ruch Społeczny Polska XXI w.” – indicates the service.
However, it turns out that the registration process is not without obstacles. At the beginning of February, the founders were summoned by the court to amend the articles of association. On March 1, the court sought information on the collected signatures and the group’s current activities.
Examination of the application is possible after meeting the requirements stated in the regulations.

Collaboration Covenant and AgroUnion
In early February, the leader of the agreement, Magdalena Sroka, announced that she had received a “green light” from the party’s national board for cooperation with Agrounia and its leader Michał Kołodziejczak. Both parties plan to participate together in the upcoming parliamentary elections and their leaders have announced the creation of a new political party. In the middle of the month, at a meeting in the Sejm with the participation of activists from the Agreement and Agrounia, Sroka and Kołodziejczak signed a joint ideological statement containing a number of postulates with which the new group would go to the elections.
The assumptions of the statement entitled “Time for Poland of the 21st century” were presented by Magdalena Sroka. It indicated that Agrounia and the agreement “go together because PiS has failed to live up to the hopes placed on it”.
Many PiS announcements remained on paper and were the flagship items of this group’s program – e.g., affordable youth housing, easier access to the courts, and demographic policies with measurable impacts
we are reading.
The statement stressed the need for close cooperation within NATO and the European Union and “building trust-based long-term relationships with all allies”. As we read, “the PiS government’s chaotic and clumsy moves regarding the National Reconstruction Plan are spoiling relations with European partners, posing a direct threat to the country’s sovereignty and economic security.”
The statement also emphasizes the need to curb price increases and to increase labor protection opportunities “so that work is performed in decent conditions and for decent wages”.
The state must become an exemplary employer and its institutions and agencies must begin creating standards for the entire labor market
– emphasized. At the same time, the need to build an entrepreneurial legal and tax system was emphasized.
The agreement and Agrounia also want efficient state institutions “under social supervision”.
A massive government and local government modernization program is needed because today, in the age of universal digitization, there is no excuse for queues and unnecessary bureaucracy
we are reading. According to the statement, it is necessary to rebuild the education and healthcare system and train more doctors and other specialists in medical professions.
The document also draws attention to the issue of energy and food security.
The state is obliged to be predictable and to ensure the security of strategic resources, and not to react ad hoc and panicked like the PiS government in 2022. We must pay special attention to Polish food production
we are reading. The agreement and Agrounia also favor the development of renewable energy sources, as well as nuclear energy for the stabilization of the energy system.
These changes must be made with respect and not against the local community
– emphasized. Emphasis was also placed on the protection of local communities and businesses, eg by combating the monopolizing food market by large chains, “monopoly dictating prices”.
The statement also draws attention to the need to improve demographic policies, e.g. through the creation of the “Million Housing Fund”, which should enable local governments to build “large-scale” housing in order to increase their supply and thus raise prices. to lower.
Kołodziejczak stressed that Agrounia is able to communicate with different parties and take a common position.
We have shown that we are masters of communication
– he assessed, adding that the agreement has a “reliable partner” on its side.
