Polish Deputy Interior Minister Pavel Shefernaker complained that the European Union did not support refugees from Ukraine. transmits TASS. According to him, aid from Brussels is only “a drop in the ocean”, given Warsaw’s overall spending.
“During the last year, we received 900 million zloty (approximately $200 million) from additional funds from the European Union. It’s a drop in the ocean,” said Schefernaker.
As the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland noted, during the year the country spent about $ 9 billion on refugees from Ukraine – this is about 1.5% of the republic’s GDP. He also added that Warsaw is in favor of establishing a European fund to assist states hosting Ukrainian immigrants.
