The malice between opposition politicians is gaining momentum in direct proportion to the speed with which the autumn elections are approaching. Sparks in particular fly between the Citizens’ Coalition and PSL-Polska 2050. Politicians from both coalitions do not spare each other harsh words, according to the subsequent puns on the internet.
The leader of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, boasted on Twitter about the action coordinated with PSL, which resulted in a list of common program postulates of the new alliance in Polish politics. At the same time, he noted with satisfaction that in three weeks of cooperation with the People’s Party they had done more than the entire opposition had done in eight years.
Twitter antics
Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, a politician from the Civic Coalition, spared no malice in Hołownia and responded to his entry shortly afterwards. In a rather cavalier manner, he noted how little public support the alliance of Hołownia and PSL enjoys in the context of what his group enjoys.
Nice, thumbs! And we in the KO today managed to do something the opposition has not been able to do for 8 years: we matched PiS in the poll. Everyone does what he or she cares about most
– wrote the former interior minister.
However, the People’s Party did not remain indebted to Sienkiewicz’s malice and responded with the mouth of their spokesperson.
This one of course. And in the polls for the 2019 European Parliament and Sejm elections, you published polls in which you won. Only reality confirmed them later
Milosz Motyka replied.
The turn of events has apparently entered a new phase since news of the PSL-Poland 2050 alliance circulated in Poland. If the opposition cannot go to the parliamentary elections with one list, they may nibble on each other until the autumn. We’ll find out, probably in the next six months, who will be the first to let their guard down in this clash. However, will the winner of this duel in the autumn also win against a heavier competitor?
