Peter Stano, Official Representative of the Foreign Policy Service of the European Union (EU), in an interview with the newspaper “News” He considered the possibility of easing or partially lifting sanctions against the Russian Federation.
He pointed out that the relaxation of sanctions should not be expected in the near future. According to him, changes are possible in case of a change in the policy of the Russian authorities.
“So far we do not see such a change in the behavior of the Kremlin,” said Stano.
He stressed that EU member states should regularly review existing sanctions and adjust them according to developments.
On the eve of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia declarationthat every EU sanctions package has proven to be ineffective.
The EU’s 10th sanctions package was adopted after long discussions last week. In it, the EU imposed restrictions on 87 natural persons and 34 legal entities.
