Accompanied by the former President of the Government Mariano Rajoy and by Carlos Mazón, president of the PPCV, current councilor of Alicante and the popular candidate for mayor of the province’s capital in the municipal elections on 28 May., Luis Barcala submitted his candidacy on Tuesday night. The popular ones identified the struggle to gain an absolute majority in the Alicante elections and thus contribute to Mazón’s attainment of the Generalitat Presidency.
The slogan chosen for this campaign; “Alicante Among All”. Aiming to win a large majority from the PP in the elections, Barcala recently declared that he wants to continue “transforming the city because time passes so quickly” in the law, in which he was officially declared the popular mayor.
The day will be attended by the main public and organic positions of the formation, as well as affiliates and sympathizers, to support the candidate for reelection in the city of Alicante and the PP project over the next four years.
Barcala was announced by the PP’s national leadership as its candidate for Mayor of Alicante at a ceremony in Madrid on January 22, and the mayor stressed that “Alicante must continue to be led by the PP to ensure continuity for the party. renewal of civil service contracts and lower taxation in tax policies.
Rajoy’s existence comes to light after Genoa reinstates the former president. together with Valencia Inter-municipal José Maria Aznar. At the Valencia museum, Barcala coincided with the head of the party.
Rajoy also has a special relationship with the state of Alicante, as he works as a land registry officer in Santa Pola. The former head of government, who was removed from the front after a no-confidence motion, was staying at a hotel in Alicante to continue his private agenda. His stay was short as he quickly requested a transfer to Madrid, but his particular fondness for the town of Santapolera is well known.
Support for Barcala will not be a novelty as the Alicante square is one of the fixed ones in Rajoy’s different campaigns and other election appointments as a presidential candidate.
