The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has complained about Russia and the tension in relations between China and the United States, following his visit to New York to attend the UN General Assembly session on the situation in Ukraine. It has been reported DEA News.

“The UN is a perfect mirror of the world situation. Looking beyond Ukraine, it is clear that global crises are accumulating, but the global response is either thwarted or inadequate, Borrell said.

According to him, Russia’s special operations and tensions in relations between Beijing and Washington are tearing the fabric of the “international order”.

At the same time, as Borrell points out, many countries see the potential of the European Union to strengthen its role as a counterweight to China and see the EU as a more reliable partner than the United States.

23 February UN General Assembly accepted Resolution on “principles of just peace” in Ukraine. The United States, Ukraine, Great Britain, Georgia, Germany, Latvia and Lithuania became co-authors.

While 141 countries voted yes, 38 countries abstained. Among them are Armenia, China, the Central African Republic, India, Iran, Pakistan, South Africa, Tajikistan and others.
