U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzeziński thanked the government’s Plenipotentiary for War Refugees from Ukraine and Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration, Paweł Szefernaker, for cooperating with the U.S. government in assisting Ukrainian citizens seeking refuge in Poland.
The importance of Polish aid
The US Ambassador to Poland attended a conference in Warsaw organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the United Nations Refugee Agency – UNHCR.
Brzezinski drew attention to the importance of Poland’s actions to help refugees from Ukraine arriving in our country.
Polish society responded with great dedication to help those in need. The world saw it. It was an extremely important attitude

Mark Brzezinski sent a special word of thanks to the Government’s Plenipotentiary for War Refugees from Ukraine, Paweł Szefernaker.
I would like to thank the Ministry and Mr. Deputy Secretary Szefernaker for acting and cooperating with the US Government, allowing us to help people side by side. We are proud of this collaboration
said Mark Brzezinski.
Since February 24 last year, the day of the Russian attack on Ukraine, the border guard has recorded 10.077 million entries into Poland and 8.17 million exits to Ukraine.
