I can assure you that the problem of farmers and the agricultural sector will remain central to the entire cabinet; that is why we consistently repair the negligence of previous years, invest in the future of our village – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emphasized in a letter addressed to the participants of the 9th Congress of Agriculture of the Republic of Poland.
“The problems of farmers remain central
A letter from Prime Minister Morawiecki was read by Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister Henryk Kowalczyk.
In the letter, the Prime Minister stressed that the Agricultural Congress of the Republic of Poland is an important event for everyone who cares about the fate of the Polish countryside.
The 9th edition of this initiative, which starts today, has already become part of the landscape of the most important agricultural events in our country and brings together – as in previous years – a group of outstanding specialists
noted Morawiecki.

The head of government wrote that he was sorry that he could not personally participate in the congress and paid his respects to the participants.
The experience of recent years, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and then Russia’s attack on Ukraine, has shown in a special way how important it is for the country’s stability to ensure the food security of our farmers.
wrote the prime minister.
So I want to assure you that, both for me and for the entire government, the problems of farmers and the entire agricultural sector remain at the center of attention.
– said Mateusz Morawiecki. Therefore – as he emphasized – “we are consistently repairing the negligence of previous years, investing in the future of our village by improving living conditions and equalizing development opportunities.”
The head of government pointed out that “this is proven, among other things, by the help we have provided to farmers in difficult times, both after a drought and a drastic rise in fertilizer prices.”
The Prime Minister pointed out that Poland was the only one in the EU to apply the subsidy mechanism to purchased fertilizers, for which almost PLN 4 billion was allocated.
Soon we will also support wheat and maize producers with resources from the national budget. In addition, this year the mechanisms of the strategic plan of the common agricultural policy for the years 2023-2027 will be implemented. The solutions contained therein serve to improve agricultural income, including through eco-schemes. At the same time, these activities will meet the requirements of environmental protection and animal welfare improvement
Morawiecki emphasized.
The Prime Minister also thanked the conference organizers “for creating an important platform for discussion about the current challenges facing our agricultural sector.”
I am convinced that this year’s edition will be just as fruitful as the previous one
– added.
