While 141 countries voted yes, 38 countries abstained. Among them are Armenia, China, the Central African Republic, India, Iran, Pakistan, South Africa, Tajikistan and others.
“The methods of achieving results are again ‘cowboy’, with UN colleagues in developing countries competing with each other by complaining to us about Westerners,” Polyansky said.
He emphasized that the meeting abruptly stopped about 40 minutes before the lunch break and continued only two hours later.
During this time, “almost 30 pairs of hands were bent,” according to Polyansky.
