Former US State Department official James Soriano believes that US President Joe Biden’s words about the inadmissibility of Russia’s victory in Ukraine contradict the principles of American foreign policy laid down by John F. Kennedy. In his article for American Thinker.

Soriano recalled that Kennedy said in his famous 1963 speech that in order to reduce the risk of use to zero, the United States must avoid any conflict with nuclear-armed countries.

“Kennedy was 47 years old when he gave this wise advice to those who would manage America’s future relations with other nuclear powers. This is not the guiding principle of the current US administration with regard to Russia today. President Biden (principles. – socialbites.ca) denies Kennedy, ”Soriano said.

He noted that, according to Kennedy principles, the United States should never pursue a path in which a series of decisions are taken off the table, leaving only one such option: humiliation or nuclear war.

The author states that NATO intensified the escalation in Ukraine and pushed its army into the war. According to him, the main purpose of such a decision is to increase the costs that Russia must pay and at the same time deprive Moscow of tangible benefits.
