The US administration believes that there are serious doubts about China’s peace initiatives to resolve the Ukraine problem. This was stated by the head of the State Department press service, Ned Price, writes. TASS.

At a briefing for journalists, he was asked to comment on Beijing’s intention to present its peace plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

Ned Price believes that “the PRC is looking for both”. According to him, Beijing is trying to take a neutral position and at the same time “provide substantial support” to Russia in its special military operation (SVO). The US representative declared “economic, diplomatic and political aid to Russia”.

“All this makes us think when we hear reports that the PRC plans to implement it. [план мирного урегулирования]”, – the US State Department official concluded his words.

Victoria Nuland, Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs of the US Department of State, said in an interview with The Washington Post that it was previously reported that the US and its allies are considering supplying fourth and fifth generation warplanes to Ukraine. It also announced that on February 24, the United States would announce a new package of sanctions against Russia.
