“Of course there is a level of work,” Paweł Soloch said on Polsat News, when asked about the conversations that took place during the US president’s visit to Poland. “There were also details, but in face-to-face conversations. Of course, at that time there were no technical discussions that would be concluded with some kind of agreement,” the former head of the National Security Bureau emphasized.
US bases in Poland
Paweł Soloch explained that the idea of creating a US military equipment base in Poland is already partially implemented.
The point is that the military equipment must be ready for the arrival of American soldiers, who will be transferred across the ocean or from Germany if necessary. This speeds up the procedure – we have the equipment, only the soldiers need to be redeployed
– pointed to President Duda’s adviser, adding that several thousand US soldiers are stationed in Poland, and President Biden himself has officially stated that “the Americans will stay here”.
We see that the war will not end soon, in a few weeks, so at least for the duration of the war
added the politician.
National Security Council
According to the National Security Bureau, President Andrzej Duda called a meeting of the National Security Council for Friday, February 24 at noon; current conclusions for state security regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine will be discussed, including in the context of consultations between the presidents of Poland and the US.
When asked about the matter, Paweł Soloch said that in his opinion “the president will want to give the opposition a report on the talks with President Biden, but also on the B9 meeting and familiarize the opposition with its meetings ahead of the US President’s visit to Warsaw and discuss further steps that the Polish authorities will take in light of the situation.”
