US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will attend the UN Security Council ministerial meeting on Ukraine and discuss the possibility of expanding the grain agreement with UN Secretary-General António Guterres. This was reported by the press service Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Blinken will travel to New York on 23-24 February to attend the UN Security Council ministerial meeting on Ukraine.
It was noted that the meeting will coincide with the first anniversary of the start of the special military operation (SVO) launched by Russia in Ukraine.
According to the press service, Blinken will also meet with Guterres to discuss broad economic, military and humanitarian support for Ukraine. They will also talk about the need to maintain and expand the grain deal, which the US State Department has described as “an important tool for solving the global food crisis.”
