The president still has the support of the majority of Poles
As noted by CBOS, after the improvement recorded in January, opinions on the activities of the head of state remain unchanged in February.
CBOS also emphasizes that after poorer ratings in December last year, parliament’s February ratings are similar to last month.
Currently, 26% of respondents are positive about the activities of the Sejm. (the same as in January), and negative – 60 percent. (decrease by 1 percentage point). 14 percent had no opinion.
Greater criticism of the Senate
Compared to January, the percentage of criticism of the activities of the Senate has increased. Senators’ work is rated good by 33% in February, the same number as in the January survey. 48% of the respondents rated the work of the upper room as poor. respondents (increase of 2 percentage points). 19 percent had no opinion.
The CBOS study was conducted as part of the mixed-mode procedure on a representative sample of adult residents of Poland drawn from the PESEL registry. Each respondent independently chose one of the methods: 1) direct interview with the interviewer (CAPI method), 2) telephone interview after contact with the CBOS interviewer (CATI) – the respondent received contact details in the CBOS announcement letter, 3) fill in of the online survey independent (CAWI), which was accessible based on the login and password provided to the respondent in the announcement letter from the CBOS. In all three cases the questionnaire had the same set of questions and structure.
The survey was conducted from February 6 to 19, 2023 on a sample of 982 people (including: 58.4% using the CAPI method, 25.9% – CATI and 15.7% – CAWI).
