All governments admit that my administration was right about Russia and the threats posed by Russian-German energy ties, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told the New York Times.
Our voice about what is happening around us is being heard more and more clearly. I see that we are better understood when it comes to security challenges
said Morawiecki.
It is clear that the center of gravity has moved to Poland and other Central European countries

The Polish Prime Minister recalled that before Russian troops entered Ukraine, Warsaw’s constant warnings about Moscow and dependence on Russian energy resources were “only half audible”.

Poland’s new position
“Since the start of the war, Germany has abandoned its previous Moscow-friendly policies and reliance on Russian natural gas, while Poland has become a hub for the transfer of Western weapons to Ukraine, a haven for millions of refugees and a driving force behind European sanctions against Russia .
Experts admit that Poland has become the hub around which most Western responses to Russia’s war against Ukraine now revolve. However, some worry that the country may not be quite ready to take the lead due to internal political disputes fueled by the upcoming election and long-running disputes with the European Union over the rule of law and other substantive issues.
