US President Joe Biden plans to hold phone conversations with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French counterpart Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister George Meloni to mark the anniversary of the start of Russia’s special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. This was expressed by John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council.
“The president will be on the phone with some of our allies next week,” he said, naming the leaders.
Kirby also noted that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Washington on March 3.
