Laura Rosenberger, China’s chief adviser to US President Joe Biden, plans to resign over an incident involving the detection of multiple balloons in US airspace, the agency reported. Bloomberg.

According to the agency, he plans to leave his post next month. While this may seem against the backdrop of tensions between China and the United States due to blimps, Bloomberg explains that he planned Rosenberger’s resignation long before these events.

The US military has shot down four air targets in the past few days, including a Chinese balloon that was intercepted over the Atlantic in US airspace. Washington said the balloon was launched by the Chinese side for espionage purposes.
