Political responsibility for KPO’s lack of funds can only be attributed to Berlin, deputy development and technology minister Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska told PAP Studio.
On Friday, President Andrzej Duda announced that an amendment to the law on the Supreme Court had been sent to the Constitutional Court. The provisions of the amendment will not come into effect until the Tribunal has decided whether it is in accordance with the Constitution. The Sejm passed an amendment to the law on the Supreme Court on January 13 this year. At the end of January, the Senate introduced 14 amendments, which the Sejm rejected. According to the authors of the amendment – PiS deputies – this law should fulfill an important “milestone” for the European Commission to release money for the national reconstruction plan.
The wines of Germany
When Semeniuk-Patkowska was asked in the PAP Studio whether the KPO’s funds will not reach Poland in the near future, the political responsibility for it can be attributed to President Andrzej Duda, and she judged that “it can only be attributed to Berlin. “
It is Berlin that is the decision maker and sets the direction it is going in the context of money for rebuilding the economy
said the secretary of state.
According to her, it is on the German side that there is “unwillingness to reach an agreement through mediation and consensus when it comes to money for the economy”.
We have been creating a policy around KPO for a year and a half, and KPO is about the merits – digitization, economy, technology, innovations, construction, renewables, projects that should already be working in Poland after the pandemic
– noted Semeniuk-Patkowska.
This money belongs to Poland
she declared.
When asked about the assessment of President Andrzej Duda’s decision to submit the amendment to the law on the Supreme Court to the Constitutional Tribunal, the deputy minister stressed that it was “his autonomous prerogative”.
No one has the right to question it
she pointed it out.
