The platform did its best to find a pro-Russian statement from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. And they found out – only that the quoted words about improving relations with Russia are the words of … Donald Tusk – this is how the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Paweł Jabłoński responded to the video posted by PO on social media placed.
On Monday, Platforma Obywatelska posted a message on social media asking who Vladimir Putin really is to Mateusz Morawiecki? A short video is attached to the message.
In December 2021, he shone among Putin’s friends
– says the voice-over over the premiere, as the screen scrolls through photos from, among other things, the meeting of PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński and Mateusz Morawiecki with then-leader of the French right-wing Marine Le Pen and Hungarian president Viktor Orban in December 2021.
Pictures were then shown of these politicians shaking hands with the Russian president. There is also a photo of the Italian politician Matteo Salvini in a T-shirt with the image of Putin.
Perhaps he succumbed to his father’s pressure
– continues the lecturer, and on the screen appears a board with quotes from Kornel Morawiecki’s interviews. “Crimea wanted to be Russian”, “Union with Russia could create a better world”. Then Kornel Morawiecki speaks:
I think Poland should pay more attention to improving relations with Russia
– say.
Then Prime Minister Morawiecki was told that “Poland is ready to thaw, improve relations with Russian-Polish”.
Why did the PiS government import a record amount of coal from Russia? Why is Obajtek still buying oil there? Why did you give Lotos to Putin’s friends? Mr Morawiecki, who is Putin to you?
asks the teacher.
At that time, information appears on the screen that Poland was the largest importer of crude oil from Russia in the EU in January. The video ends with the PiS logo in red, white and blue colors fading into the Russian flag.
Response to the scandalous place
He responded to the post on social media. Deputy Foreign Minister Paweł Jabłoński.
The platform did its best to find a pro-Russian statement from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. And they found it – only that the quoted words about improving relations with Russia are the words of … Donald Tusk
– He wrote.
See how they lie. It’s just great. The platform tried to find a pro-Russian quote from Prime Minister Morawiecki. And they found a pro-Russian quote. Only not Prime Minister Morawiecki, but Donald Tusk. See for yourself
– said Jabłoński in the recording attached to the entry.
He then showed a recording in which the head of government says:
Donald Tusk visited President Putin. And then, exactly 15 years ago, he said that Poland was ready to thaw, improve relations with Russian-Polish
said the prime minister.
These people cannot be trusted. You don’t believe a word
Jablonski said.
In response, PO Secretary General Marcin Kierwiński wrote to Paweł Jabłoński that he recalled only some “strange” behaviors of his boss: “record imports of Russian coal, selling Lotos to Putin’s Hungarian glove puppets, meetings with Putin’s agents in Europe (Le Pen), sale of the refinery below, Macierewicz at the Ministry of National Defense.
Late Monday evening, the video disappeared from the Civic Platform profiles on social media.
