“It’s a very long and difficult process before offering anything. We don’t know the constitutional framework, whether the current government can do that. If not, then parliament can certainly do that, but it will have to make some kind of proposal,” he said.
As the head of the Slovak parliament pointed out, so far no one has formally discussed the relevant proposal to send fighter jets to Kiev. He also added that this issue is quite complex and requires consensus.
“Of course, we will not be the first to shout that we will give fighter jets to Ukraine. “We should first discuss with our coalition partners whether we agree with that,” he said.
