The cover text of the latest weekly “Newsweek” suggests that PiS could rig the upcoming election. “Newsweek’s text is absurd and disgustingly incorrect on many levels,” Łukasz Schreiber, a minister at the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, wrote on Twitter, offering a number of arguments to support his claim.
Tomasz Poręba is right that this is insurance for Donald Tusk against losing an election. Łukasz Pawłowski summed it all up nicely and refuted idiotic claims, but let’s add a few more facts. There is nothing in the text about changes that would make it practically impossible to even carry out individual forgeries in the OKW. Until 2018, every KW put forward candidates and about 20 percent. fell off. Today, everyone represented in the Sejm is guaranteed a place. So the opposition starts 4:1. The opposition also has full control over what happens in the PKW. As a reminder, 4 of the 9 members are representatives, 3 are recommended by PiS, 1 is from the Supreme Administrative Court and the Constitutional Tribunal
he stressed Lukasz Schreiber.
“We have increased the importance of store stewards”
As Łukasz Pawłowski rightly pointed out, the changes we made in 2017 have drastically reduced the number of invalid votes. The end of the “second cross party”, which reached about 8 percent in 2014. We have also introduced the possibility of observers from Polish organizations, and not just foreign ones, as before. We’ve increased the importance of store stewards. The system of counting votes has changed – the whole committee will follow every vote
the minister recalled.
Łukasz Schreiber added another comment about the person whose accounts the text of “Newsweek” is based on.
By the way – the whole text is based on the words of a person who hates PiS and has been in Norway since the beginning of our rule. These alleged mass falsifications, I understand, took place when we were losing the election
– wrote Lukasz Schreiber.
