Sometimes in Ukraine this question is asked: “Does anyone in Poland support Russia in this war?”. If there can be such an attitude in Germany, one can also expect such a cause for shame at the Vistula River. Lying about your nation is not very appropriate, and explaining with the names of some anti-Ukrainian politicians of the Confederation and the praise singers of Russia present there as “defenders of traditional values” is not very explicit, you are only promoting characters for which ashamed of you, and that will explain little to the hearers. But it is easy for such Ukrainians to convey complex truths – from agents, through brainwashed ideologies or outright stupidity, fanaticism or hatred of the West – with words that describe complicated social phenomena.
Well, to those in our country who support Russia – whether under the guise of the “anti-war movement” or behind the facade of alleged anti-banderism or for other fabricated reasons – you can say “Polish watniki”. This term comes from a jacket quilted with cotton, popular in Soviet Russia as cheap and relatively warm clothing. People in quilted jackets were seen at rallies of Ukrainian separatists, which were organized to support Viktor Yanukovych’s pro-Russian policies, today these clothes are rather for the social margin, just as the pro-Russian stance in Poland is a political margin . “Polish watnik” will define more and faster than an elaborate translation with a blush of shame that someone in Poland can frighten the US military and defend the Russian invasion. The Ukrainian watnik sees the world as a jumble of Western, especially American, plots lurking for his peace-loving imperial homeland.

HE DID IT AGAIN. KORWIN-MIKKE IN DEFENSE OF RUSSIA!
Today, the watchmen in Ukraine don’t lean too much, as the laws of war prohibit agitation for Russia or question the legitimacy of Ukraine’s defenses. Ukrainian watchdogs hide behind more neutral views – for example, they don’t out loud support either side of the war, but they want “only peace”. And that “some peace” is the concern of the founder of the “Polish anti-war movement” Leszek Sykulski, Sebastian Pitoń or Marcin Rola, the creator of media for whatniks. Grzegorz Braun even threatened the US military during the pandemic. Now Janusz Korwin-Mikke writes about Russia as a defender of traditional values - as if I saw an elderly resident of Lyman (a city in eastern Ukraine) cross himself a few days ago when he saw me, saying that the lake in the area was drained by the Americans, and the war was started by “politicians in general”. If we explain this nonsense, we should fall with the weapon of logic in hand against the brains washed with disinformation.
Our country helped Ukraine to the greatest extent in defense against Russia. In the pages of this chapter on recent history, there is also a contrast to the theme of Polish watniks, who creep somewhere in the margins of Polish politics. By a total margin fortunately – and this, compared to other countries of the civilized world, is an exceptionally honorable exception.
